Power Project: Nasarawa State to collaborate with FG
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has expressed the willingness of his administration to support the Federal Government in the actualisation of its proposed power project in the state.
Governor Sule made this known in Doma local government area when officials of Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria arrived the state for the commissioning of the 300 kilowatts solar mini hybrid power project in the state.
The governor commended the decision of the Federal Government to collaborate with a power company for the project aimed at providing steady power supply in Doma local government area which has been without power for many years.
Gov. Sule noted that the design, a world bank assisted project is an important resource required to drive economic growth in the state and the nation.
The Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency, Ahmed Salihijo in a message said the agency has identified many communities in the country with similar problem with the aim of meeting their energy needs with sustainable solution.
