Yola DisCo promises mass meters rollout, commences 15hrs customer service operation

Yola DisCo will embark on rolling out meters within the shortest possible time under the Federal Government’s National Mass Metering programme, NMMP, in Order to ensure customers’ satisfaction.
The management of Yola Electricity Distribution Company, (YEDC), said it is set to embark on a massive metering of consumers under its jurisdiction to ensure value for electricity consumers.
The company in a statement on Wednesday said it will soon commence full deployment of the Federal Government’s National Mass Metering programme.
It also announced the extension of its customers operations by additional 8 hours from the usual 5 pm to 12 midnight.
Part of the statement reads, “The Management Of Yola Electricity Distribution Company wishes to inform the general public that every action taken since its inception is geared towards improving services for our valued customers.
“Before we took over, Customer Care Centers operated between the hours of 9:00AM to 4:00PM with even reduced operational hours on weekends. Now we have increased that time to 15 hours every day and are about to deploy 24 hours customer care centers which will be available online shortly as well.
“We will embark on rolling out meters within the shortest possible time under the Federal Government’s National Mass Metering programme NMMP in Order to ensure Our customers get value for money regarding their power consumption. All Our staff have been properly identified and well documented to make sure no customer is defrauded where their access to quality service is concerned.”
While assuring the customers of improved power supply in the course of time, the DisCo charged them to be patient.
“The Management Of YEDC wishes to once again state that every measure taken by it will be to ensure improved quality supply to our valued customers and therefore urge them to please be patient as we continue to work on improving services to them.
“We thank the general public for their understanding as we work together to turn YEDC into the best distribution Company in the Country. We are here to Rebuild, Rehabilitate and Reinforce!”
