NUPRC to host 2020 marginal field bid round awardees

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), said it’s set to host all eligible awardees who have fully or partly complied with signature bonus payment in the 2020 marginal field programme (MFBR) at a forum slated for Thursday, 27th January 2022 at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
A statement signed by the Commission Chief Executive,
Engr. Gbenga Komolafe said the
engagement forum is aimed at clarifying the policy position of the commission for the marginal field bid round to enable progress of the exercise in line with the programme’s guidelines and in compliance with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021.
“The forum will also appraise, distill and clarify issues associated with the MFBR and provide relevant updates on status to all stakeholders in line with transparency policy of government.
“All eligible awardees and relevant international oil companies (IOC) who are associated with the MFBR as farmors are expected to attend the meeting,” the statement read.
