Ikeja Electric Plc. commissions new, ultra-modern business unit

Largest Nigerian Power Distribution Company (DisCo), Ikeja Electric Plc (I.E), has unveiled a new, ultra-modern business unit office in Shomolu to enhance service delivery to its customers.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Management on Monday.

The new Shomolu Business Unit office, according to the DisCo, is meant to improve service delivery to ensure that electricity users within its network enjoy the best possible customer experience.

The Board Chairman of the DisCo, Mr Kola Adesina, while expressing his joy at the unveiling of the new office, stated that the new office will not only stimulate his staff to be more efficient but also help to deliver better services to I.E’s customers.

“In addition to providing the required infrastructure that will strengthen our network and bolster services, our technical team is committed to further improving electricity supply to our customers, and this is our obligation to them.

“The unveiling of the new Shomolu Business Unit office signifies that Ikeja Electric prioritizes both its members of staff and customers.

“This building provides a conducive environment for our staff, enabling them to work better, think intelligently and strategically while ensuring quality service delivery,” Mr Adesina said.

The company’s CEO, Mrs Folake Soetan, while thanking customers, partners and other stakeholders for their constant cooperation and support, stated that the I.E will continue to enhance service delivery through technology and innovation.

She noted that, in line with the company’s mantra, customer satisfaction via the application of technology remains a major consideration in all of its operations.

Mrs Soetan noted that the I.E already has plans to kick start several projects in 2022 that will further improve electricity supply to all of its customers.

“We are very excited to commission this ultra-modern facility designed to optimize operations in Shomolu Business Unit, in line with our mantra – customer-first technology now.

“The new office is equipped with state-of-the-art tools to enable efficient service delivery and improve the overall customer experience.

“We are confident that Ikeja Electric, through this new office, will continue to deliver top-notch services to our teeming customers in the network.

“Our effort to continuously improve customer experience and deliver optimal value is the motivating force behind all we do at Ikeja Electric. And that is what has helped to position us as an industry leader.

“The satisfaction of customers remains the priority, and this restates our unwavering commitment to service excellence through continuous investment in our people and technology,” she stated.

Otunba Adebayo Adekunle, Chairman of Odi-Olowo CDC, applauded the I.E for its continued commitments towards serving its customers better in Shomolu and its environs.

“This is an improvement to what we used to have in Shomolu.

“It is evident that the company aims to deliver better service to people in Shomolu and its environs, that is why Ikeja Electric has considered the customers, by creating an enabling environment for better service,” Otunba Adekunle said.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the company noted: “To enhance customer experience and further optimize our services, we unveiled our ultra-modern Shomolu Business Unit yesterday.

“Our effort to continuously improve customer experience and deliver optimal value is the motivating force behind all we do at Ikeja Electric. We are confident that through this new office we will continue to deliver top-notch services to our customers.

“One of our goals in 2022 include growth in energy which would scale up power supply across the network, and several projects have been outlined to achieve this.

“The satisfaction of our customers remains the priority and we restate our unwavering commitment to service excellence through continued investment in our people and technology.

“Thank you for your unflinching support and thank you for allowing us to serve you.”

Engr. Hafeez Momoh, Director Of Power, Lagos State Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources; Chairman, Odi-Olowo Community Development Committee (CDC), Chief Remi Ugo Amuludun of Shomolu and representative of Oba of Shomolu; Chairperson of Abule Oja CDC, Mrs. Morenikeji Amosun and Women Leader for Abule-Oja CDA, Hajia Husna Shabi-Chapman were also in attendance at the unveiling of the new office.
