TCN conducts annual maintenance at Gwagwalada Transmission Sub-Station

In a statement signed on Friday by its General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), disclosed its intention to carry out planned annual maintenance on its second 150MVA 330/132/33kV power transformer, and the associated switch gears at the Gwagwalada Transmission Sub-Station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The maintenance was scheduled to be conducted between 9 a.m and 6 p.m, Saturday.

The TCN spokesperson revealed that the Company has put measures in place to ensure that electricity supply to the concerned Power Distribution Companies (DisCos) is not affected.

“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out scheduled annual maintenance on its second 150MVA 330/132/33kV Power Transformer and associated switch gears at the Gwagwalada Transmission Sub-Station, ECT, Abuja.

“The planned outage will take place on Saturday, 5th February 2022, from 9am to 6pm the same day.

“TCN has made adequate plans for load diversion through Other transformers in the substation such that maintenance work will not interrupt power Supply,” Mrs. Mbah noted.
