TCN restores power after nationwide grid collapse

Following the national grid collapse which occurred on  Monday, Eko Electricity has confirmed that power has been restored by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to many transmission stations under its network. This latest development was confirmed by the DisCo in a tweet via its official tweeter handle.

According to Ekedc  “We would like to inform you that the TCN stations have been restored.

“Power supply to our customers are equally being restored in phases as we monitor the progress. More updates shall be provided on the situation,” EKEDC concluded.

EnergyDay can confirm that majority of the power distribution companies across the country had issued common statements on Monday at about 10 a, m , notifying customers that they were unable to distribute electricity because of a collapse in the system . 

The build up to the imminent collapse of the system which occurred on Monday, began several months ago.

It centers on different issues that the ministry of power has unfortunately found itself,  unable to resolve.
