The candidate of the All-Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has accused the opposition of conniving with the marketers in a sinister move to frustrate the success of his party at the February 2023 Presidential Election.

Asiwaju Tinubu made this known during his remark in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday, as part of his nationwide presidential campaign rally.

According to him, they (marketers)hoarded the petrol, and financial institutions are not releasing the new Naira notes to Nigerians. to create artificial crisis. The operators are conniving with the party with the Umbrella emblem (PDP) to stop Nigerians from voting for us. Nonetheless, we will vote and be victorious.

“PVC would be used to rescue the Presidency from them. They may decide to stop selling fuel to Nigerians. We will trek to the polling units and vote massively.

“They have initiated all forms of our tactics against us. They are using fuel scarcity and hoarding of the new Naira notes to score cheap political points against us. The fuel scarcity is a deliberate attempt against us,” Asiwaju Tinubu alleged.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in a statement countering the allegation of Asiwaju Tinubu, encouraged the APC presidential candidate to stop visiting Abeokuta where he is fond of making political gaffe against President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement released by Diran Onifade, Head of Media, Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Peter Obi revealed that Tinubu, by the statement in Abeokuta, indicted the Minister of Petroleum Resources, in the person of President Buhari.

He said, “Tinubu is indicting the same man that he has promised to succeed with a plan to continue his ‘good works’.

Peter Obi’s spokesperson said, “If I were to be Tinubu’s adviser, I would have advised him to stop going to Abeokuta. It was in the same Abeokuta that he made the gaffe of ‘Olule’ and how President Muhammadu Buhari was crying on TV, ’emi lokan’ and all that.

“Now, he (Tinubu) is saying the fuel scarcity is meant to make the elections fail and how they are going to take overpower from them. Who are they or them?” Peter Obi’s spokesperson asked.

Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in his reaction to Tinubu’s comment on fuel scarcity, claimed that the APC presidential candidate has begun crying over his imminent defeat.

Atiku in a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, his Special Assistant, Public Communication revealed that Tinubu is frustrated by President Muhammadu Buhari’s unwillingness to attend some of his insipid rallies, hence the reason for the attack being launched against the President who doubles as the Minister of Petroleum.

According to him, the Holy Bible says in Proverbs 28: 1 that “the wicked run when no one is chasing them, but an honest person is as brave as a lion.”
