TCN delivers two new 60/75MVA 132/33 kV power transformers to Lekki transmission substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has delivered two brand new 60/75MVA 132/33 kV power transformers to Lekki 330/132/33kV transmission substation in Lagos.
This was disclosed in a statement by TCN and obtained by EnergyDay on Monday.
According to the statement, TCN delivered the two transformers on February 14 and February 17, 2023.
According to the statement, the transformers are part of the ongoing TCN-World Bank Projects taking place in several TCN projects, nationwide.
EnergyDay gathered that the new transformers are part of a measure to boost the capacity of the substation to 500MVA and guarantee supply from the Eko Electricity Distribution network for residents of Lekki and environs.
Further revelation showed that the Lekki substation project, is an upgraded substation, with a designed voltage level of 330/132/33kV and an operating voltage level is 330/132/33kV.
Our correspondent gathered that the step-in voltage of the project is 330kV and the step-out voltage is 33kV.
