Lagos Police arrest five electrical cable vandals

Five suspected cable vandals have been arrested by the police operatives attached to the Alausa Division of the Lagos State Police Command, for vandalizing Lagos State Electricity Board cables mounted around 7-Up Bottling Company, Alausa area of Lagos State.
This was confirmed in a statement by Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, obtained by EnergyDay on Thursday.
According to the Force PPRO, Ukah Gabriel ‘m’ aged 29, Emmanuel Ajikula ‘m’ aged 29, Athanisus Lornumbe ‘m’ aged 28, Titus Akuha ‘m’ aged 18 and Felix Lornumbe ‘m’ aged 27 were arrested in the act on Monday, April 24, 2023 .
He said ,” The suspects were arrested following receipt of credible intelligence on the suspicious movement of some hoodlums in the area.
“Tools and vandalized cables were recovered from the suspects.
Hundeyin however confirmed that the suspected vandals have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
