Workers’ Day: Egbin power rewards employees with SUV, cash prizes worth millions, reaffirms commitment to human capital development

 As part of its commitment towards the creation of a positive and supportive work environment that recognizes and rewards employee contributions, Egbin Power Plc, Nigeria’s largest Power Generating station, has rewarded several employees with cash prizes and gifts worth millions of Naira.
This was contained in a statement released by the company and obtained by EnergyDay on Tuesday.
According to the power firm, the reward offered to the staff was as a result of their stellar performances and contributions leading to increased productivity and further growth of the business.
Mokhtar Bounour, Chief Executive Officer, Egbin Power Plc, noted that the initiative is in line with the company’s tradition to empower and support the employees in driving high performance and celebrating their excellence which yields results for the business.
“The rewards are part of Egbin’s ongoing commitment to creating a positive and supportive work environment that recognizes and rewards employee contributions.”

“Recognizing and rewarding employees is essential to maintaining a strong motivated workforce. We want our employees to know that their efforts are valued and appreciated and that we are committed to supporting their growth and development within the organization,” the Chief Executive Officer, Egbin Power Plc said.

According to the statement, Benson Akindileni, a staff of the power firm in the Maintenance Planning Department emerged as the Best Performing Staff and won a GS4 compact SUV.
“He was closely followed by Abdullahi Shuaibu, another staff member of Egbin Power Plc, from the Mechanical Department, who got N5million in second place, and Omatseye Dasilva of the Procurement Department with N3m in third place.

“Endurance Otaru, emerged as the Best Performing Female staff and was rewarded with a huge sum of N5m, while the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) team bagged the Best Performing Team and carted away N20m for their efforts,” the statement said.

The statement from Egbin revealed that winners in other categories bagged prizes worth between N500,000 and N1m in recognition of their contributions.
