EKEDC announces power outage in Ajah-Ogombo environs, installs 15MVA transformer at Ajah substation

The Eko Electricity Distribution Company has announced the scheduled outages in the Ajah-Ogombo environs on Wednesday between 10 am to 2pm, due to the plan the Transmission Company of Nigeria(TCN) complete the installation of the 15MVA transformer at the Ajah-Lekki 330kV line bay in Ajah Substation

 

This was contained in a separate statement released by EKEDC and TCN and obtained by EnergyDay on Tuesday.

 

According to EKEDC, the planned outage was dedicated to enabling the company to receive more load into distribution load centres supplying electricity to Ajah and environs from the substation.

 

EKEDC said, “This installation is aimed at improving the electricity supply in the Ajah-Ogombo environs.

 

Ndidi Mbah, General Manager, Public Affairs, Transmission Company of Nigeria, in the statement also confirmed the plan by the TCN’s maintenance crew to work on the substation during the period mention by EKEDC.

Mbah therefore apologised to customers to be affected by the power outage for the inconvenience that the installation may cause. She noted that supply will be restored as soon as maintenance work is completed.

EnergyDay gathered that the feeders that will be affected by the installation include Ajiwe, Abraham Adesanya, Estate, and Ogombo feeders, respectively.
