Reps member, Atta Thaddeus donates five 500kva transformers to address power issues in Eti Osa, Lagos

Hon. Atta Thaddeus, Labour Party House of Representatives member for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, has procured a total of five 500kva transformers and allocated to Addo/Badore and Sangotedo communities in Eti-Osa area of Lagos State to address the ongoing power issues affecting the communities

 

This was confirmed in a statement obtained by EnergyDay on Wednesday from Hon. Thaddeus during a tour of his constituency.

 

According to him, a stable electricity supply is essential for local businesses to prosper and contribute significantly to the nation’s economy, thus fortifying employment prospects.

 

He noted that the distribution transformers underscore his commitment to nurturing sustainable development and elevating the standard of living for all constituents.

 

He said, “I acknowledge the ongoing struggles with electricity in some communities in Addo Badore and Sangotedo.

 

“I have taken resolute action by procuring a total of five 500kva transformers, which will be allocated to the affected communities.

 

“My firm conviction lies in the belief that a stable electricity supply forms the bedrock for local businesses to prosper and contribute significantly to our nation’s economy, thus fortifying employment prospects.

 

“This endeavour underscores our commitment to nurturing sustainable development and elevating the standard of living for all constituents. The expedition towards enhanced infrastructure and a more robust local economy is only just commencing,” the House of Rep. in  Eti-Osa Federal constituency said.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Adamu, the Labour Party Ward Chairman of Ajah-Sangotedo, officially handed one of the transformers over on behalf of Hon. Atta to the Estate Chairman of the community emphasized the importance of democracy and power.

 

He stated that the transformer would be used to the satisfaction of the community. He added that when the community says “Let there be light,” this is what it means.
