TCN gets 100/110MVA power transformer in Port Harcourt

The Port Harcourt Region of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has received 100/110MVA power transformer and accessories in its 132/33kV Port Harcourt main transmission substation.

TCN confirmed the delivery on its official X handle , also hinted that the new transformer which was recently delivered was the third transformer delivered to the substation in recent times.

The Transmission Company recalled that 100MVA and 60MVA power transformers were earlier delivered, while the 100MVA transformer has already been commissioned.

“This attests to TCN’s relentless commitment to increasing its wheeling capacity to transmit more power to distribution load centres nationwide.

“The 100/110MVA transformer will add 80MW to the substation’s capacity when installed,” TCN tweeted.
