Brockville seals partnership deal with ICCE to develop energy industry human capacity

Brockville Investments, has secured partnership agreement with the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE) as part of efforts to develop the right competence, improve the capacity of the workforce and achieve projected development in the Nigerian energy industry.

Brockville Investments, a Pan-African Asset Development and Management Firm in Nigeria,revealed this in a statement released to EnergyDay on Friday.

The energy firm said the collaboration with ICCE, a global body of qualified economics professionals headquartered in the USA, on capacity building and knowledge acquisition is an intensive training programme aimed at boosting the capacity needed to improve the country’s energy economy.

Olawunmi Olatunji, Chief Executive Officer of Brockville, speaking on the agreement recently, said, “This goes to the heart of what we have been doing over the years.

“The new partnership between Brockville Investments and ICCE,is aimed at equipping professionals in Nigeria with the needed skill sets, expertise and qualification that helps them to rise to the top of their chosen career paths, and thus, shape the future of the Nigerian economy.

“Brockville Investments has been actively involved in knowledge acquisition and capacity building, not only for players within the oil and gas/energy space in Nigeria but also for stakeholders in the mining, agriculture, and financial sectors of the country.

According to Olatunji, Brockville will be providing the Chartered Economist designation across the country in areas such as petroleum economics and energy economics, as well as, tuition for learners in Nigeria who enrol into the ICCE’s Chartered Economist program.

“We have been at the forefront of championing knowledge acquisition and capacity building with our clients and stakeholders.

“We are equally happy to receive this partnership to promote the ICCE’s Chartered Economist program in Nigeria.

“The partnership will lead to the development of highly ethical energy economists and professionals that will maximise economic growth in Nigeria.

“Energy is a key source for economic development since many facets of the economy invokes energy as a basic input,” she said.

She further said Brockville’s faculty is staffed with industry experts and advisors with deep knowledge and experience covering oil and gas, renewable energy, power, mining, agriculture, and financial services.

Gaurissh Lagu, ICCE’s Global Head of Partnerships, stated, “We’re happy to be extending and expanding our program offerings into multiple countries. We do not only focus on membership growth when it comes to country-specific operations.
